About Chess Club

The Fujairah Chess & Culture Club was officially established under Ministerial Resolution No. (184) for the year 1993, registered under Club No. 36 of the year 1993. In 1994, the Club became a proud member of the U.A.E. Chess Federation, marking the beginning of its active contribution to the development of chess across the Emirates.

 

Originally was known as the Fujairah Chess Club, the institution was renamed to Fujairah Chess & Culture Club following the Decision No. (5) of 2015 issued by the Chairman of the General Authority for Youth and Sports Welfare. This change reflected the Club’s broader vision, not only to promote chess as a sport of intellect but also to serve as a vibrant center for cultural exchange and education within the Emirate of Fujairah.

 

Since its founding, the Club has remained committed to nurturing talent, encouraging strategic thinking, and fostering community spirit through both chess and cultural programs. With the support of its leadership and instructors, the Club continues to uphold Fujairah’s values of excellence, knowledge, and cultural pride, inspiring a new generation of thinkers, learners, and champions.
